Meet the Family

Tiffany is originally from Florida and graduated from Western Carolina with a degree in Communications. Shortly after college, Tiffany and Scott met, fell head-over-heels in love and were married in 1999. She is the mother and proud parent of their three children, Baxley, Wyatt and Ivy.

Tiffany serves on several non-profit boards, is an entrepreneur and equestrian rider.

Tiffany focuses on health and wellness while enjoying yoga, hiking, biking and all things outdoors. She is also a huge animal lover!

Wyatt is a Freshman at Texas Christian University (TCU).

He enjoys winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding and other activities such as football, lacrosse, bird hunting, camping, fishing, motorsports. Wyatt is also an avid long range rifle shooter.

Wyatt interned at Sonic Automotive during the Summer of 2023 and worked as a ranch had at OBR in 2024. He is interested in continuing the next generation in the family businesses and ranching.

Scott is the Co-Founder and retired CEO of Sonic Automotive, Inc., a Fortune 300 Company (Listed as NYSE: SAH).  He is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Sonic Automotive. He also is the Co-Owner of Speedway Motorsports (Formerly Listed as NYSE: TRK); and co-owner of Tattoo Projects Advertising.  Scott stepped away from the day-to-day operations of these large businesses in 2018 to spend more time with the family.  One can see more on Scott’s Instagram @BScottSmith1.

Baxley is a Junior at the University of Tennessee and is pursuing a business degree. This past summer, she interned at the ranch and at Tattoo Projects Advertising.

She loves animals, especially dogs, and would like to have a dog rescue on the ranch. Baxley is interested in using her business degree in one of the family businesses.

Ivy “Giggles” Smith

Ivy’s equestrian accomplishments for the last year.

At the end of 2023 Ivy finished Reserve Champion USEF National Horse of the Year and Zone 3 Champion Horse of the Year on Whinny the Blue. At 2023 USEF Pony Finals the pair were 6th in the Pony Model, 20th in the Under Saddle and 17th overall out of 114. The pair won their first USHJA Pony Derby at WEC Ohio in December of 2023. They were also the Spring Circuit Champion at TIEC in 2024. Through the 2024 show year they have been in the top 3 in the country (out of 270) all year.

At the end of 2023 Ivy and Precious Moments finished 2023 Reserve Champion Zone Horse of the Year in the Childrens Ponies. Precious and Ivy brought home 2 Ribbons at 2023 USEF Pony Finals - 5th over fences and 5th overall out of 143. At the 2024 USEF Pony Finals they were 18th over fences and 17th overall out of 134.

Ivy finished the 2024 final standings of the Washington International Horse Show Pony Equitation points in 3rd place out of 100 riders.

Ivy is currently 7th out of 325 riders in the Pony Derby National Rider Standings out of 325 (and 1st in Zone 3). Her pony Whinny the Blue is 2nd in the 2024 Pony Derby National Standings out of 440 (and 1st in Zone 3).

Ivy attended the prestigious 2024 Devon Horse Show and rode to 3 over fences ribbons on Whinny the Blue.

Ivy will be attending both the 2024 Pennsylvania National Horse Show (which takes the top 30 ponies in each of her divisions) and Washington International Horse Show (which takes the top 25 ponies in each of her divisions) on Whinny the Blue, Precious Moments, and new ride Greymeadows Vogue.

For the 2025 show year Ivy is looking forward to showing Ever So Blue in the Small Green Ponies, Greymeadows Vogue in the Medium Ponies and new ride Blue By You in the Large Pony Hunters.

Ivy, also known as “Giggles,” is a huge animal lover and equestrian.

Ivy has been riding since 2019. She has also been champion in the hunters and equitation at shows such as Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show, World Equestrian Center, Tryon International Equestrian Center, Sedgefield at the Park, Aiken Fall Festival, Duke Charity Horse Shows.

Ivy thinks that she wants to have a horse rescue and possibly be an equestrian trainer when she grows up.
